Harm Reduction 101: Exploring The Road Less Traveled

The workshop will begin with an introduction to harm reduction, and explore the ins and outs of how it can be considered an effective and evidence-based strategy for preventing overdose and keeping people who use drugs safe. Participants will learn how to apply basic harm reduction strategies in their interactions with people who use drugs (as coaches, advocates, clinicians, etc.), and how to become a true ally to the community. This workshop will also include a Narcan and fentanyl test strip training.
