(Re)covering the Self
This presentation includes a variety of creative ways to discuss and explore ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) Recovery. Participants can expect to learn more about the parts, roles, and continued themes of intergenerational trauma in the healing process. Creative approaches used include visual, writing, and spoken storytelling-no experience in art making necessary.
BIOGRAPHY:
Lisa is the Executive Director of Friends of Recovery Westchester and has a private practice as a trainer, therapist, art therapist, recovery coach and human being. She is a recipient of the national Those Who Make a Difference award for her previous work in hospital settings and juvenile justice support programs. Lisa continues to believe that creativity and art are paths to recovery, advocating for continued progress in the field of substance use disorders.
