Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the Multiple Pathways of Recovery Conference?

Our goal is to share, with as many people as possible, the many pathways of recovery from drugs, alcohol, and other addictions.  We do this with the help of amazing keynote speakers, workshops, hands on meetings, and networking opportunities.

When is the Conference?

The 4rd Annual Multiple Pathways of Recovery Conference will be held Wednesday, November 13 to Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. Preregistration will be available on the evening of Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

Who is the organizer of the conference?

About CCAR: Since 1998 the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) has organized the recovery community (people in recovery, family members, friends and allies) to put a face on recovery and to provide recovery support services to help sustain recovery. By promoting recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction through advocacy, education and service, CCAR strives to end discrimination surrounding addiction and recovery, open new doors and remove barriers to recovery, maintain and sustain recovery regardless of the pathway, all the while ensuring that all people in recovery, and people seeking recovery, are treated with dignity and respect. CCAR envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced.

CCAR established the Center for Addiction Recovery Training (CART) in 2014 to provide a centralized location for those interested in recovery coaching and providing recovery support services with training resources and performance enhancement supports. As the creator of the nationally acclaimed Recovery Coach Academy, CCAR had a desire to build upon the foundations of that training program by bringing forward new training opportunities and supports for Recovery Coaches. Since it's inception, CART has added several training programs to the RCA family, including Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches, Spirituality for Recovery Coaches and the Online Training Program for Recovery Coaches. CART designs curriculum based on the needs of the field, data collected from current training evaluations and will continue to bring forward new offerings and supports for anyone working with those who are in recovery from alcohol or other addictions.

Who should attend the conference?

The short answer: Everyone.  Healthcare providers, treatment professionals, insurance providers, recoverees, friends, family,  and anyone who's involved in the recovery community will find this to be an invaluable conference.

Can we customize a sponsorship package to better fit our company needs?

Absolutely.  We have several sponsorship packages which can be found here but if you would like to alter a package we're happy to work with you.

Is there a sponsorship or discount available for attendee registration?

Unfortunately, at this time we do not have any scholarships to offer for this conference. We recommend registering during the early bird registration period for the best pricing.    Check with other organizations in your area to see if they plan to attend.  If you're a group of four or more then you can qualify for a group rate discount.

Can I pass out handouts at the conference?

No handing out of anything—including flyers, stickers, cards, or any promotional item—is allowed in any area inside or outside the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center, except from within a booth in the Exhibit Hall or when pre-approved for placement on the Freebie Table in the information booth.

Can I take pictures and video during the conference?

Please do!  We'd love to have you share your experience.  The only exception would be if a presenter states that they would not like to be filmed or photographed.  We ask that you respect those requests.

I'm driving to the conference. Is there a fee for parking?

No. The Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center offers 240 free onsite parking spaces.  In the event conference parking fills up, there is additional parking available within walking distance.
